How secure is the site?

We have taken appropriate measures to create a secure environment. Encryption software is in place to safeguard financial transactions. In addition, we have developed communication protocols that do not allow alumni members to obtain access to your email / phone information until you release it.

However, since TGA is not sanctioned or endorsed by Bank of America or its subsidiaries, we do not have access to personnel records to confirm whether a person has worked at MBNA. Reasonable controls will be installed to ensure the integrity of this alumni population.

For instance, when people join the site, they will be asked to answer several questions to validate that they have worked at MBNA. A person's membership will be accepted or rejected by the TGA staff … based upon the information supplied. On an "as needed basis," TGA staff may validate the alumni status of an applicant with other alumni members.

Perhaps the greatest control we can incorporate into the website is an understanding that each member plays a vital role to protect the integrity of the alumni population. If you find that a member has NOT worked for MBNA, please report that finding immediately to Rich Savona. Appropriate action will be taken in accordance to the website's membership agreement.

What is the Privacy Policy?

TGA does have an appropriate privacy policy in place. Please refer to the separate section on Privacy.

Do I need to complete the entire Membership Profile?

Yes - but not right away. Complete those sections that are required and easy to fill out. We understand that people will want to start networking right away! However, we strongly recommend that you do complete the entire membership profile (at some point) if you want to maximize your experience and keep with the spirit and vision of this online community.

Remember the core mission statement of this website is to CARE for one another (Connect, Advise, Recruit and Explore). Each of the sections of the membership profile was designed to expand your reach and leverage with this unique family network.

Your work experience and core competencies will facilitate member queries and truly enhance the online experience. But keep in mind that NONE of your profile will be openly shared with other members.

For instance, if you would like to be listed as a resource for business startups because you recently launched a small business one year ago, simply check off that box. When members are looking for that experience, your name along with others will appear on a list when a member queries on that feature. If the member has a relationship with you, they will click on your name, compose an email message and send to you. You then have the opportunity to connect with that alumni member and offer your experience / advice.
